Carbondale Man Pleads Guilty to Delivery of Controlled Substance

MURPHYSBORO – A Carbondale man pled guilty in Jackson County Court Tuesday to one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – a Class 2 felony.

Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr says 34-year-old Kenneth W. Neal unlawfully delivered a substance containing heroin and fentanyl to a confidential source working under the direction of the Carbondale Police Department on Sept. 15 of last year.

Neal will be sentenced on Aug. 14 in Jackson County. He could get six to 30 years in state prison with a three year period of mandatory supervised release following his release.
