Three Arrested for Allegedly Slashing Tires on Vehicles in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG – Harrisburg Police say one person and two juveniles were arrested after officers responded to the area of the 600 block of West Parish Street around 9:40 Monday night on a report of tires being slashed on several vehicles in that area.

According to a police department Facebook post, police found three males in the area matching the description of the suspects on West Parish Street.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan Merritt was arrested on multiple charges, one juvenile was detained while another juvenile was released to his mother.

Harrisburg Police would like to thank the Saline County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police for their help in this case.
