MARION – The Marion Police Department says beginning late last year, its Narcotics Unit initiated an investigation relative to the sales of crystal methamphetamine, involving multiple subjects that reside at the Econo Lodge hotel, located in the 1800 block of Bittle Place.

During the investigation multiple confidential sources were utilized to conduct several controlled drug purchases of crystal methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation search warrants were obtained to search multiple rooms at the Econo Lodge.

The Marion Police Department Narcotics Unit, assisted by MPD Investigations, and the MPD Patrol Division Tuesday executed the mentioned search warrants. As a result of the search, officers and detectives located and seized suspected crystal methamphetamine, weighing equipment, drug paraphernalia and ammunition.

Forty-eight -year-old Diego D. Nevith was issued citations for Delivery of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Forty-three-year-old Michelle L. Ketterer was issued citations for Delivery of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to deliver and Possession of Cannabis.

Thirty-six-year-old Juan J. Perez-Salazar was issued a citation for Possession of Methamphetamine.

Forty-three-year-old Faraz A. Daruwala was issued a citation for Aggravated Public Nuisance.

Nevith, Ketterer and Perez-Salazar were conveyed to the Williamson County Jail awaiting their first appearance in court. Daruwala was issued a summons and released pending future court proceedings.

Thirty-one-year-old Kyle J. Williams was arrested following a brief foot pursuit relative to the methamphetamine sales at the Econo Lodge.

At approximately 2:20 Tuesday afternoon, Williams was observed in the area of Russell and Boulevard Street on foot by an MPDNU Detective. The Detective attempted to make contact with Williams at which time he fled on foot. A chase ensued and Williams was taken into custody near the area of Goodall and Hamlet Street.

A search incident to arrest revealed Williams to be in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine. Williams was issued citations for Possession of Methamphetamine With the Intent to Deliver and Resisting a Peace Officer, relative to todays incident.

Williams was additionally issued citations for Delivery of Methamphetamine, relative to the use of a confidential source purchasing methamphetamine from him at the Econo Lodge Hotel.

All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
